In 2016, National Geographic Channel partnered with The Daily Beast to generate awareness and drive tune-in for the original program “Killing Reagan.” My team created an engaging, interactive content campaign: “Echoes of an Assassination.” The campaign explored the lingering effects of John Hinckley, Jr.’s assassination attempt on President Reagan by examining his legacy in the 2016 election, on important issues like gun control, and more. The campaign was anchored by a custom, interactive homepage navigation unit that teased each article and drove deeper engagement with the content.

“Echoes of An Assassination” was a finalist for a 2017 Digiday Publishing Award for Best Branded Content Program.

The interactive unit lived on The Daily Beast homepage in a dedicated content vertical:
